Erin Shaughnessy, Health Writer

Erin Shaughnessy is a licensed pharmacist and health writer who is also certified in yoga instruction. With more than 20 years of experience in healthcare, she specializes in optimizing medication treatments and vaccinations, educating patients, mentoring new leaders, and promoting yoga practices to prevent burnout in the workplace and personal life. She is especially passionate about women's health, weight management, addiction medicine, and preventative medicine. Based in Chicago, IL, she is currently employed at a prominent academic medical center, where she leads a team of clinicians who provide innovative patient care. Additionally, she is actively involved in various public health, DEI, patient advocacy, and teaching programs to develop future healthcare providers. Additionally, she is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE) and holds certification as a Board-Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS), as well as a Certification in Ethical Leadership and is a Certified Pharmacy Executive Leader (CPEL). In her free time, Erin enjoys traveling, hiking, kayaking, practicing yoga, reading, and spending time with her pets and loved ones.
