“As policy experts and representatives of health care stakeholders from across the political spectrum, we strongly support the SGR reform legislation before the House Ways and Means and Senate Finance Committees, and urge the Committees to advance this legislation to the full House and Senate.

Each of the bills be marked up tomorrow would establish a clear path to new payment models that support value and accountability for quality and costs. The leadership of the Committees deserve congratulation for drafting legislation that successfully pairs permanent repeal of Medicare’s Sustainable Growth Rate with reforms to the payment and delivery system that help lower the rate of growth in health care costs while improving the quality of care.”
