Internships

The National Coalition on Health Care is seeking interns for the fall and winter of 2002 focusing on health policy research and media relations. Interns work closely with the Coalition’s policy and public affairs directors. Interns will have a variety of responsibilities including: health policy research, media list compilation, administrative duties, and attend events and forums on Capitol Hill and in the D.C. area.
Our interns receive a thorough education in health politics, the understanding of the problems with our health care system, and the various proposed reform strategies. The hands-on experiences will prepare interns interested in legislative, governmental affairs, and other advocacy and policy groups.
The Coalition seeks students with solid academic records, research, and communication skills. Knowledge of word processing and database software is important. The duration of the internship is negotiable.
